Information we collect

• Newsletter signup: your email address, so we can send you TIG welding tips and occasional updates about our books and merch.
• Wholesale contact form: your name, email, business name, and message, so we can respond to your inquiry.
• Orders: when you buy merch, a digital eBook, or another product on the site, our payment processor collects your name, email, shipping address, and payment details to complete and fulfill the order.
• Automatic data: basic analytics like pages visited, referring site, and general device/browser information, collected via Google Analytics.

How we use your information

• To send the newsletter you signed up for, and to let you unsubscribe at any time.
• To process and ship your order, and send order/tracking confirmation emails.
• To respond to wholesale inquiries and customer support requests.
• To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, using aggregated analytics.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your email for anything beyond what you signed up for.

Third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of trusted services to run the site and fulfill orders. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:

• Square — processes payments for merch, books, and digital orders.
• Printify — prints and ships merch orders, and receives your shipping address for that purpose.
• Resend — delivers newsletter, order, and account emails.
• Supabase — securely stores site data, including newsletter subscriptions and order records.
• Google Analytics — provides anonymized traffic and usage analytics.
• Google reCAPTCHA — protects our contact form from spam and abuse.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality (like keeping items in your cart) and for analytics (via Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work correctly without them.

Your choices & rights

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us (see below). We'll respond within a reasonable time.
• This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
